Bruce Mack: Synthesizer

A born in Brooklyn-native of New York City, synthesist Bruce Mack has gained notoriety over the past 17 years as bandleader with groups that have featured Will Connor, Guru (GangStarr), Marque Gilmore, Dave Fiuzynski, the brothers Michael-Anthony and Mark Peterson and as a producer of two cd/albums released by the Black Rock Coalition titled “Blacker Than That” and “The Bronze Buckaroo Rides Again”.

In addition to Burnt Sugar, Mack performs and records with his band, Tricky Dilemma, featuring Marvin Sewell and Thomas Murray. The band's first release, “The Howling Necessity” was released December 2nd, 2003 on the TruGROID imprint.
Other artists played with include: Cooper-Moore, Dean Bowman, Brian Hardgrove, Atiba Wilson, Pheroan Aklaaf, Andrew Lamb and E.J. Sharpe.

B. Mack has written and recorded original music for several film makers which include the score for Jeff Giles' “You Know The Deal” and upcoming documentaries by director Gordon Skinner.

As a music educator and Arts Program Coordinator at The Door, a multifaceted center for at-risk youth ages 12-21; Mr. Mack is a mentor for young, ambitious, musicians looking to enter the music business. Two recent benefactors are Scott Krupnick a.k.a. ScottsBorough and Joshua Stevenson a.k.a. DJ Halo, both will be featured on new works by Mr. Mack. Among his accomplishments, he is noted for “Sing The Rhythm: If You Can Sing It, You Can Play It”, a curriculum he developed while working with Arts Connection, NYC.
