At once powerful and agile, controlled and utterly unfettered, Lisala's spirited
soul vocals blend the best elements of R&B, Jazz, Gospel and Hip-Hop. The
NYC native has been part of Burnt Sugar's sound since July of 2000 contributing
her composition Take My Hand to the most recent Burnt Sugar triple
CD set.
She has also performed with soul vocalists Tamar Kali, Angela Johnson, and
Na2.
Her debut solo album “Get It" was released in October 2003 on Anonka
records.
