Burnt Sugar Home

I like my sugar burnt. Since the first time I experienced a smokin live performance by this orgiastic organismic ensemble, I'm sad every time I can't make a show. Always looking forward to the next one. Paula xxx

I have read the reviews in the Wire and have not heard them as yet. They should make a European Tour and pass by Denmark.Itīs true that so much Black music today is a dread and has gone astray so anything that has the Miles Davis kinkyness is a plus.

Burnt Sugar, what can I say? It was lovely to share the day with you in Beacon. The music was, as always, devine and the company, as always, sublime. Thanks for sharing the day and the music with me. Much love, Amy

Just when I began to wonder how in the cosmos the music would spiral next and cover my soul...Just what I needed to keep it real...Burnt Sugar for the Popcorn.

Just found the site - beautiful visual design online as well as the cd covers (much respect to the designer), I got all the cds - just learnt about the new one (someone mentioined it on the Miles Davis list). Also just learnt that the London date I saw you at was your first outside the US - an honour! I loved that concert - just wish you had the whole evening and hadn't had to split it with Jaga Jazzist (who are a great band in themselves) - you both deserved your own nights. . Man you New Yorkers know how to wear a hat - you just leave us Londoners standing there. When are you coming back? I'm waiting! Heh - tell me to get the fuck out of here, but if you send me your latest cd I'll review it for the BBC website. If you don't send me the cd, I guess I'll have to buy it and review it anyways. Can't wait to hear Pete Cosey with you - Dark Magus rules the roost. Thank you for being and developing like you're doing, I love the pantheistic ambition of the Sugar. Good luck to you, C.

I'M JUST SPEECHLESS. I'm a struggling black musician, and if I could at least find TWO damn people in Seattle willing to help me make music as beautiful and on-point this, I could die happy. It's just PERFECT. I'm proud and choked at the same time. Y'all keep on keepin' on.
